Lorne Estate

The 20 acre estate is situated on a stunning elevated site overlooking the waters of Belfast Lough. Secluded wood and river areas bring a privacy seldom found in normal hotel or conference venues. Built in 1875, this distinctive house was owned by Henry Campbell, a prominent linen merchant who named it after Lorne on the West Coast of Scotland - the hereditary home of the Campbell Clan.

In 1946 the estate was purchased by Girlguiding Ulster and is now an upgraded, modernised facility.
