North Antrim County
Welcome to Girlguiding North Antrim.
In Guiding terms we cover geographically the most nothern part of County Antrim from Ballycastle to Antrim and Kilbride and have some of the most picturesque scenery in Ulster.
The County is divided up into six districts:
- Causeway Coast
- Ballymoney
- Maine
- Braid
- Massereene
- Kilbride
There are just over 700 members with 90 adult leaders offering Guiding to all sections - Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section, and all are involved in a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities with the emphasis on everyone enjoying their guiding experience, having fun and making new and lasting friends.
There are also 4 very active Trefoil Guilds and a hard working Friends of Guiding group who support the various units.
We are fortunate to own with South Antrim our own residential property called Dunluce
Guide House. It is situated on the scenic north coast of Northern Ireland between Bushmills and Portrush. It is a well equipped centre with excellent facilities for up to thirty people and lots of exciting local activities to keep even the most active Brownies, Guides and Scouts busy.
If you would like further details on guiding activities in any of the units or to volunteer as an adult leader contact Elizabeth Campbell, County Commissioner on elizabethcampbell60@hotmail.com.
