Free Vlogstar Challenge Workshop
We’ve been offered an amazing opportunity (by the Jack Petchey Foundation and Media Trust in partnership with YouTube and the Evening Standard) to upskill some of our young members in vlogging at a workshop on Saturday 8th April. With the media landscape constantly changing and the use of vlogs rising sharply, this is really fantastic opportunity to upskill girls in your Northern Ireland.
The Vlogstar Challenge workshop will be held at Girlguiding HQ in London from 11am to 4pm and is open to all girls aged 16 to 25 (travel expenses will be covered). The workshop will be run externally by experienced trainers and will equip young people with the skills and confidence to create powerful and compelling vlogs using their smartphones. The training will cover shooting, lighting, editing and sound as well as how to tell a compelling story and present on camera.
To book places please contact the Girlguiding press office at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 17 February 2017. Include you full name, age and a short paragraph on why you are interested in taking part.
There are 25 places available so we will work on a first come first served basis. You will need to bring your own smartphone or tablet to work on.
