GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation came into force 25th May 2018.

This new law affects everyone and all organisations who deal with personal data.

Personal data is any information which allows you to identify an individual - name, address, date of birth, membership number and photos.

What to do if there is a breach?

A breach is an incident or omission that results in a loss, theft, deletion, unauthorised sharing or unauthorised access to personal data.

A breach must be reported to the data controller immediately, the data controller has 48 hours to report this to the ICO. Please contact Claire Flowers on Claire@girlguidingulster.org.uk
