National Scout & Guide Symphony Orchestra and Concert Band 2018!

​The National Scout & Guide Symphony Orchestra and Concert Band are now accepting applications for their 2018 residential courses!

The National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra and Concert Band are hosted by Birmingham Scout County, in conjunction with Girlguiding Birmingham, with this year’s residential course taking place again in Stourbridge.

Following the success of the NSGSO 2017 with 128 members, the NSGSO are looking to make their next course bigger and better than ever! Both courses include a week of rehearsals and workshops with a professional conductor and sectional tutors. In addition there are 8 staff members who will be with you all week. Both courses are integrated together for all social activities, accommodation and food. Each course will have the opportunity to watch the others in their concerts.

Requirements:
- Generally speaking you need Grade 5 for the Orchestra and Grade 4 for the concert band on your first instrument.
- Be a member of The Scout Association or Girlguiding.
- Aged 12-25 by 31st August 2018

Dates:
Sunday 29th July - Sunday 5th August 2018

Cost:
£495 inclusive of all accomodation, transport, tuition, music and social activities.

Travel:
You will need to make your own travel arrangements, however for participants arriving by public transport we will provide local pickups from Birmingham Airport or Stourbridge train station.
